FAQs About Postnatal Assessments

How soon after birth can I have a postnatal assessment?

We recommend booking your assessment from 6-8 weeks postpartum, but we also see women months and years after giving birth, once you have a baby you are always postnatal.

Is the assessment painful?

No. All assessments are handled gently and at your own pace. You are always in control of your treatment.

What does the postnatal assessment cost?

The comprehensive 2-hour postnatal assessment is £180. It is great value for the time, specialist expertise, and personalised guidance and treatment plan you’ll receive.

Can you help with C-section recovery?

Yes. We assess and treat C-section scars, helping reduce tightness, pain, and sensitivity whilst improving mobility, sensation, the look of the scar and supporting long-term healing.

Do you see women with prolapse or incontinence?

Yes. These are extremely common (but not normal) postnatal issues, physiotherapy can significantly improve if not completely resolve these problems and improve your quality of life.

Do you offer ongoing treatment after the assessment?

Absolutely. You will receive a tailored recovery plan, and we can provide follow-up sessions to support your progress.
